Good Online Training

I completed the Online Personal Training Certification. The course material was thorough. I learned a lot. Enrollment was smooth, took about a week to get everything set up. Definitely recommend for busy people wanting to get certified.

Helpful and Practical Experience

I enrolled in the Hybrid Personal Training Program and found the hands-on gym instruction invaluable. The online modules for Anatomy and Physiology were detailed, but applying it in person really made a difference. My instructor was knowledgeable and gave practical feedback. The admissions team helped me navigate my VA benefits which was a huge plus, making the financial process much less stressful. Delivery of materials was prompt. The Client Assessment Training was particularly useful for real-world application. Overall, a comprehensive and well-structured program that prepares you for the field.

Consistently Good Programs

I've used National PTI a few times now, first for my 500-hour certification years ago, and most recently for a CEC course. The quality of instruction for the Corrective Exercise Specialist course was just as good as I remember from my initial program. They're always reliable, and the content is solid. That's why I keep coming back for my continuing education needs.

Got my cert done

So I needed to get my Personal Training Diploma and went with National PTI. The website was easy to figure out. I got signed up and the classes were pretty straightforward. The hands-on part was cool, felt like I actually knew what I was doing after that. No big issues, just got it done. Took a few months like they said it would.

Do they ever do any sales or discounts? I'm looking at the online cert but tuition is a bit steep.

They have early bird discounts sometimes if you enroll ahead of time, and sometimes seasonal stuff. Best to call their admissions office directly, they handle all the discounts, not like an online checkout code.

I got a small discount for paying upfront for my program, like a few hundred bucks. Also heard they do referral bonuses if you know someone who's already there. Definitely ask about flexible payment plans too, they offer those.

Thinking about the 500-hour program. how long does that actually take to complete? tryna plan out my next year.

K Kevin 1 month ago
It really depends on if you go full-time or part-time. My buddy did the full-time and knocked it out in like 4-5 months I think. Part-time would obviously be longer.

Yeah, what they said. It's usually a few months if you're hitting it hard, maybe closer to 6-8 if you're doing it more spread out. They're pretty flexible with scheduling, worth asking admissions about your specific situation.

What's the big difference between this place and like, NASM? Is it even worth the extra cash for NPTI?

O Omar Carter 1 month ago
NPTI is more hands-on, like actually in a gym training people, which is a huge plus. NASM is mostly self-study and then you take a test. Depends on how you learn and what you want out of it. NPTI felt way more practical for me.

Yeah, I picked NPTI over NASM because of the practical experience. My friend did NASM and still felt kinda lost when he started training clients, but I felt pretty confident after NPTI. Plus, the NPTI diploma is recognized nationally, so it's not just some random certification.

is the online personal training certification program any good? like, is it just reading PDFs or do you actually get some interaction?

W Wendy P. 2 weeks ago
It's not just PDFs, don't worry. They have a good mix of online lectures, practical assignments you submit, and I think some virtual sessions too. It's structured pretty well so you're not just left on your own.

Yeah, the online program is actually pretty solid. You get a lot of the same curriculum as the in-person, just delivered differently. They really try to mimic the hands-on feel as much as possible with the assignments and case studies. It's definitely not like just buying a book and taking a quiz.

Anyone know if they're legit with the GI Bill stuff? I saw it mentioned but wanna make sure it's not a headache to use.

O Omar C. 1 month ago
Yes, they definitely are. Used my Post 9/11 there for the diploma program. Just contact their admissions, they'll walk you through the process, it was pretty smooth for me.

Yeah, my cousin used his VA benefits there too. From what he told me, they're set up for it and can usually cover a good chunk, if not all, depending on your eligibility. Don't expect a 'promo code' though, it's more like a direct application through their office.
